When to See a Doctor

You have answered Yes to:

Do you think you have a skin infection?


See significance of a skin infection if you need information to help you answer the questions below.

Review health risks that may increase the seriousness of your symptoms.

Do you have diabetes?

Yes

Do you have a disease or take medicine that may cause problems with your immune system?

Do you have increased pain, swelling, redness, or warmth around the sunburned area?

Yes

Do you have red streaks extending from the sunburned area?

Yes

Do you have any blisters draining pus?

Yes

Do you have a fever or think you have a fever?

If you have answered "No" to the above questions, go back to Check Your Symptoms and continue to answer the questions to evaluate your symptoms.
