See significance of breathing problems or throat problems if you need information to help you answer the questions below.
Review health risks that may increase the seriousness of your symptoms.

Call your health professional immediately if you answer "Yes" to any of the following questions.

Do you have mild difficulty breathing?
Do you have noisy breathing or wheezing?
Do you have a hoarse voice, difficulty speaking, or are you not able to speak in full sentences?
Do you have a lot of coughing?
Do you have dark-colored mucus from the nose or mouth?

Call your health professional today if you answer "Yes" to the following question.

Do you have normal breathing while at rest, but any amount of activity causes shortness of breath?
If you have answered "No" to the above questions, go back to Check Your Symptoms and continue to answer the questions to evaluate your symptoms.
