- A hysteroscopy to remove uterine fibroids may be another choice instead of a hysterectomy in some women with abnormal bleeding.
- A hysteroscopy is not recommended for women with cervical cancer or pelvic inflammatory infection.
- A hysteroscopy may be used to check for endometrial cancer.
