High Fiber Fast Food

Red Lobster: Broiled flounder with side of broccoli

    Calories: 296
    Fat: 5 grams
    Fiber: 4 grams
    Protein: 30 grams

You'll get a heart-healthy dose of omega 3 fatty acids from this menu selection. Just avoid flavoring it with butter, which could add an extra 21 grams of fat. Instead, ask for a lemon wedge or cocktail sauce.

    Red Lobster

Olive Garden: Venetian Apricot Chicken served with broccoli, asparagus and dried tomatoes

    Calories: 380
    Fat: 4 grams
    Fiber: 5 grams
    Protein: 35 grams

Skip the pasta and go for this incredibly satisfying low-calorie/low-fat, protein/fiber combo. The real challenge, though, will be avoiding those garlic breadsticks that your dining companion is munching. Remember your goals and employ as much willpower as you can.

    Olive Garden

PF Chang's: Cantonese Shrimp (with garlic and snow peas) with side of stir-fried spinach or asparagus

    Calories: 407
    Fat: 15 grams
    Fiber: 10 grams
    Protein: 40 grams

With the shrimp, garlic and snow peas, this dish is packed with mouth-watering flavor and awesome texture. Pair it with the veggie side, and you'll pack another several grams of fiber to the four grams in the dish itself.

    P.F. Chang's China Bistro

Starbucks: Power Protein Plate with peanut butter

    Calories: 330
    Fat: 16 grams
    Fiber: 5 grams
    Protein: 16 grams

There's more than coffee brewing at this favorite chain. Starbucks recently introduced a powerful line-up of fiber-rich picks, including this healthy one, which includes Cheddar cheese, fresh fruit, hard-boiled egg, whole-wheat bagel and peanut butter. That might sound hefty, but check the numbers above, and you'll see this is a great lunch-time option for dieters who want to fill up without filling out.

    Starbucks

Dunkin Donuts: Egg White Turkey Sausage Flatbread Sandwich (photo in)

    Calories: 280
    Fat: 6 grams
    Fiber: 3 grams
    Protein: 19 grams

Although donuts are still the mainstay here, you'll also find healthier alternatives, especially for lunch. Order the flatbread sandwich, and you'll have long-lasting energy and less hunger throughout the day. Better yet? You get to eat sausage without any guilt.

    Dunkin Donuts

Boston Market: Roasted Turkey with two veggie side dishes

    Calories: 300
    Fat: 8.5 grams
    Fiber: 6 grams
    Protein: 42 grams

You've got to love a restaurant that lets you choose two sides with a meal. Yet rather than choosing calorie-laden mashed potatoes or mac and cheese, veer toward fiber-rich options like the fresh steamed vegetables and green beans. Just choose wisely: The creamed spinach and coleslaw might sound healthy, but they're loaded with 280 and 170 calories respectively.

    Boston Market

McDonald's: Premium Southwest Salad with grilled chicken (in)

    Calories: 320
    Fat: 9 grams
    Fiber: 6 grams
    Protein: 30 grams

It's not easy ordering a salad at this burger joint. But if you're truly concerned about your weight, you'll stick with this option. Just make sure you choose a low-fat or fat-free dressing to save excess calories and fat. And whatever you do, don't be tempted to order fries.

WOW! This is one of the most useful stories I have seen here on AOL. This is great information for those of us who have lost weight and still want to enjoy a tasty meal when we go out to eat. I know what it's like to try and lose weight. I lost 47 pounds in 6 weeks using the Rapidthin diet at www.rapidthin.com. Good luck to all. Use what works for you.

So it's not authentic Italian. As JekkaVans pointed out, it is always packed. Obviously they are doing something right! Italian-Americana!! I like it, it tastes good to me, the staff is always friendly and professional. If you don't like it, fine! Eat your authentic Italian! I will continue to eat at Olive Garden.
