Who is affected by pinworms

Pinworm is the most common worm infection in the United States.

Infections occur in people of all races and socioeconomic backgrounds.¹
Up to half of people living in institutions have pinworm infections.²

Pinworm infections are most common in preschool and school-age children.²

Pinworm infections in adults are most common among people living in institutions and among parents or caregivers of infected children.²
