Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children
The Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC), the most frequently used test to measure intelligence in children, is divided into six verbal and six performance tests, none of which requires reading or spelling. These tests consist of a series of increasingly difficult questions ranging from a 6- to 16-year-old level.
The performance tests include picture completion, picture arrangement, block design, object assembly, coding, and mazes. The verbal tests include information, comprehension, arithmetic, similarities, vocabulary, and digit span.
