Urinary symptoms in a child who has had a previous UTI
Once a child has had a urinary tract infection (UTI), the chances of having another UTI increase. Since symptoms of a UTI can be vague, it is important to be cautious. If your child is acting the same way he or she did when previously diagnosed with a UTI or is reporting the same symptoms, a new infection may be the cause.
Call your health professional if your child has symptoms of a UTI. An untreated UTI can cause scarring of the urinary tract 
. Prompt treatment can prevent the development of serious complications.
