Tattoo healing

A tattoo is a series of puncture wounds that are not very deep. Most of the time, tattoos heal completely in two weeks. A tattoo that has not healed in two weeks may be a sign that your body's immune system is not working correctly.

When the body is injured in any way, the complicated process of healing begins. A strong, working immune system is needed to heal the body. Tissues can't heal if infection or continued irritation of the tattoo or piercing site is present.
