You may be able to relieve symptoms of pelvic organ prolapse by using a pessary. A pessary
is a removable device that fits into your vagina and supports the pelvic organs, helping to keep them in place.

- Vaginal pessary. This removable device is placed into the vagina to support areas of pelvic organ prolapse.
What To Think About
Many women can successfully control symptoms of pelvic organ prolapse for years using a vaginal pessary. But if you have a severe prolapse, you may have difficulty keeping a pessary in place.
