Other conditions with symptoms similar to hepatitis C virus infection
Conditions with symptoms similar to hepatitis C include:
- Hepatitis caused by other viruses, such as hepatitis A and hepatitis B viruses, cytomegalovirus (CMV), or Epstein-Barr virus.
- Liver inflammation. This can be caused by:
- Medications.
- The body's immune system (autoimmune hepatitis).
- Drinking too much alcohol (alcoholic hepatitis).
- Other forms of liver disease, such as liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma).
