Oils and chemicals that can worsen acne
Certain oils and harsh chemicals can cause acne to get worse. These substances may be present where people work.
Some oils and harsh chemicals known to cause acne or make it worse include:
- Petroleum oils.
- Coal tar and pitches.
- Chlorinated hydrocarbons, such as polychlorinated biphenyls (Agent Orange).
Cover all exposed skin and wash your exposed skin regularly when working with all oils and harsh chemicals.
