Medical history for Addison's disease

To help diagnose Addison's disease, your health professional may ask the following questions:

  • What symptoms have you had?
  • When did you notice the symptoms?
  • Have you been sick, had surgery, or had a severe injury lately?
  • Do you have a family history of Addison's disease?
  • Do you have a disease that can affect the adrenal glands, such as cancer, tuberculosis, or HIV infection?
