Exercise and menopause

Regular exercise during perimenopause and postmenopause will help you:

  • Maintain a healthy weight and prevent weight gain around your waist and abdomen.
  • Prevent osteoporosis. Weight-bearing exercise helps maintain bone mass.
  • Prevent heart disease and high blood pressure.
  • Feel good. Regular exercise improves mood.
