Exercise and menopause
Regular exercise during perimenopause and postmenopause will help you:
- Maintain a healthy weight and prevent weight gain around your waist and abdomen.
- Prevent osteoporosis. Weight-bearing exercise helps maintain bone mass.
- Prevent heart disease and high blood pressure.
- Feel good. Regular exercise improves mood.
