Counseling and cardiac rehabilitation

Counseling and stress reduction can be important parts of good heart health and your cardiac rehab program. Professional counselors and peers involved in the program can provide you with emotional support while you make these necessary lifestyle changes.

Getting back to work after a heart problem (such as a heart attack or heart surgery) is an important goal for most people. Most people are able to return to their current job, although some people will need to change the type of work they do. A job counselor can help you get ready to return to work at your current job or help you find training needed to change jobs.
