Concentrated sperm
Concentrated sperm
In men who have low sperm counts or small numbers of normally active sperm, the sperm may be collected, washed, and concentrated so that there are more active, healthy sperm available to use in artificial or intrauterine insemination (AI or IUI) methods.
Sperm are concentrated by a technician who examines the sperm. The technician chooses highly active, healthy sperm that are more capable of fertilizing an egg.
