Prostate cancer-Reducing your risk

Where prostate cancer is involved, the risk factors that you can control are fairly limited. Most research reports that men who eat a high- saturated fat (full-fat dairy products, beef, lamb, pork, or chicken with skin) diet are at increased risk for prostate cancer. High intake of calcium also may increase prostate cancer risk. Recent studies indicate that men who consume the highest amount of calcium have a greater risk of developing the disease. Scientists are unsure about why saturated fats and calcium appear to increase the risk of prostate cancer.
