Liz Neporent is health expert and writer. Neporent is author of twelve fitness bestsellers including: Buns of Steel (Warner, 1994), Abs of Steel (Summit, 1995), Fitness for Dummies (IDG Books, 1996; second edition, 2000) Weight Training for Dummies (IDG Books, 1997; second edition, 2000) and Fitness Walking for Dummies (IDG Books, 2001). Combined, her books have sold well over a million copies. She contributes to more than 3 dozen national publications including Shape, Family Circle, Fitness, Men's Health, Cooking Light, The New York Times, The New York Daily News, and others.

Neporent holds a Master's Degree in exercise physiology from New York University and is certified by several large, respected professional organizations. Her credentials have been recognized by the professional community as well: She is the recipient of the 1999 Club Industry Entrepreneur of the Year Award and was named to the American Council on Exercise board of directors and faculty in 2000. She is president of Wellness 360, a corporate wellness consulting company for many of the top corporations in the world.
