She spent five years covering medicine for the New York Daily News, and prior to that was a general assignment reporter for the Associated Press, first in Des Moines and then San Francisco. Jordan most recently was the lead writer for Scientific American’s news blog, 60-Second-Science. She has written for Newsweek, The Nation, Prevention, SELF and Wired.com, among other publications.
